Facebook May Be Hiring an In-House Composer… But There’s a Catch
It looks like Facebook may be hiring an In-House Composer and though plenty of folks would no doubt be totally interested, there’s a bit of a catch when it comes to this particular position.
According to Hypebot, the post for the gig read:
The in-house Music Composer role requires 10+ years of professional experience in the music industry, plus experience in ProTools and the ability to ‘work closely with a wide variety of sound artists.’
CANDIDATES MUST HAVE EXCEPTIONAL COMPOSITION SKILLS AND MASTERY OF MODERN PRODUCTION TECHNIQUES. THE ROLE COMBINES MUSICAL RECORDING AND COMPOSITION CHALLENGES WITH PROJECT MANAGEMENT LEADERSHIP.
The only issue is: The job post has disappeared. Were they flooded with that many applications already? Was the position pulled for further consideration? Or perhaps the post was hacked by someone who isn’t too pleased with Facebook’s policy regarding music.
Whatever happened, if the opportunity pops up again, it will undoubtedly create quite a buzz.
