Artist Reimagines Disney Princesses as Activists

Disney princesses may be getting modern make-overs these days at the hands of live-action re-makes, but artist Amanda Allen Niday took things a step further by turning your fave fairytale icons into women’s rights activists.

Note: Each character is in fact carrying a sign with a line from her own movie. Fierce!

Inspired by the recent history-making Women’s March, Niday assures us that it’s her “firm belief that these Princesses would be out there. Dream Big, Princess!”

The artist has popped each Princess on Society6 so use the links below to grab a copy for yourself:

Protest Princess: Belle

Protest Princess: Jasmine

Protest Princess: Ariel

Protest Princess: Cinderella

Protest Princess: Pocahontas

Protest Princess: Mulan

Protest Princess: Snow White

Protest Princess: Tiana

Protest Princess: Sleeping Beauty

There’s even an IRL version, and yep! It’s just as awesome.
