While some artists are flat-out “embarrassed” to be associated in any way with the Trumps and others jump on board the political wagon (i.e. Sylvester Stallone, who was reportedly offered a “top art job” in Trump’s administration), artist Robert Sikoryak is using the President Elect’s own words as inspiration. The NYC-based artist is taking Donald Trump’s controversial quotes (yeah, there’s seemingly no end to his source material) and turning them into comic book covers for his project, The Unquotable Trump.
“The idea occurred to me right before the election,” he told The Huffington Post. “Trump had said so many outrageous things during his campaign that I wanted to catalogue them.”
He added, “It was important to me to only use Trump’s actual quotes, I didn’t want to put any words in his mouth. Once Trump became the president-elect, I felt I had to do it.”
