From Reilly Fitzgerald:
Born in St. John’s NL, raised in Wabush and Spaniard’s Bay, Reilly has a severe malformation in his right hand and arm, limiting movement, and causing pain. Reilly had eleven surgeries and at ten became ambidextrous. Reilly received formal and informal art education, taught lessons, and volunteered at schools. At 30, Reilly got his B.Ed. and accepted a position as an English teacher in Clarenville. He has dealt with chronic back pain since 2002. Even with therapy and surgeries, pain persists; he no longer participates in the capacities he did before the back pain. He continues to paint.
