From Gary Bosher:
My name is Gary Bosher. I am an Oxford-based artist. I attended College of Art in Heidelberg, Germany and it majorly influenced my artistic view. My work is constantly inspired by such great names as Caravaggio, Degas, Leonardo, while also trying to follow the footsteps of many more contemporary artists and maintain my own, unique style. My main work is based on oil and watercolour paintings, mainly involves landscapes, portraits of famous and less famous people and I admit having a fascination with the female body structure. I also have a love for boats and the seaside; therefore, I am always eager to visit my favourite spot: Christchurch, Dorset – where I can mix business with leisure, enter various exhibitions or just grab my brushes on seeing some breathtaking piece of the landscape. I always enjoy taking part in the Mudeford Arts Festival in Dorset. One of my paintings got voted as the best painting of the festival in 2013. It is a great experience and a great way of meeting fellow artists and art lovers. I am also fond of playing music and sing in a band. My live gigs give me a lot of joy, as well as painting. I would still describe myself as an aspiring artist with many ambitions.
